The Indian Express (Ahmedabad Edition) recently reported on the efforts of the Qutbi Jubilee Scholarship Program (QJSP) to promote Higher Education in the Dawoodi Bohra Community and society in general, particularly education for girls. Below is an excerpt from the article.
“…The late Syedna Burhanuddin has spoken several times about how women should be allowed to work in public spaces and pursue higher education. “I am here to convey a message of solidarity and steadfastness and a prayer for my community. Our focus is on promoting the vision of Syedna Qutbuddin (my father and promoting education among boys and girls, especially higher education” said Qutbuddin, a Mumbai-based academic, trustee of QJSP, and community member….”
